Copley’s Electronic Batch Record (EBR)
& Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
The Electronic Batch Record (EBR) product extension for INFOR SyteLine is a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution providing REAL-TIME operator process instruction, sequencing, control and data collection. The application supports the full paperless capture of batch or device production and quality activities through a low-cost interface providing real-time continuous interaction by the user.
The EBR extension guides the operator through each step of the production process, collecting data and controlling the process sequence. Record collection includes employee time on activity, materials consumed, entry of recorded measurements and values, equipment used, and signoffs and acknowledgments of work completed. When combined with Copley’s FDA Product Extensions, signoffs are selectively supported by 21 CFR Part 11 compliant electronic signature functionality and the employee’s training and certification status can be verified and recorded automatically prior to beginning a work process.
Electronic Batch Record is fully integrated with SyteLine Quality and equipment calibration and together with other standard features of SyteLine provides full traceability and reporting of all production activities. Publication of batch and device records are supported by audit workbenches providing highly configurable report outputs for publication, archiving and customer distribution of Production Batch Records.
Significantly reduced user license cost and provides real time active user engagement.
Built under existing SyteLine structures leveraging but extending standard production capability.
Highly configurable architecture eliminating the need for external work instructions.
Paperless design provides for complete characterization and narration work steps and processes.
Full access to documentation, instructions, and videos at every step of the process.
Eliminates the need for manual data collection, compilation, and auditing of batch records.
Active MES interface design provides users with step-by-step sequence control, instruction, recording and sign-off.
Quality integration provides for rapid quality escalation and process oversight.
Product Design – Standard vs. EBR/MES
The basic structure of SyteLine leverages an optionally revision-controlled product definition (item records together with current bill of manufacture). The Electronic Batch Record product extends this structure allowing resolute characterization and narration of the operation tasks, steps, prompted information collection and sign-off eliminating the need for externally generated work instructions.
Standard SyteLine or CloudSuite Industrial provides a flexible structure to represent manufacturing at varying degrees of complexity depending on the clients’ needs. The solution supports a range of uses from single operation structures, like kit or assembling to order, through complex multi-level manufacturing and can be used in mixed mode for discrete batch, repetitive, formula based process, multi or co-products, bi-product and JIT production methodologies.
MES/EBR Execution
The EBR Execution form is the active interface for the production employee. When entered from the EBR Job Home, the form lands at the current point in the production process based on prior progress recorded by the operator through Tasks, Steps, Prompts and Signoffs. Based on the WBR/MES Current BOM copied to the Job Order, the entire process is presented step by step to the operator, prompting for data collection, acknowledgement, and signoff.
