Record Setting Quarter Indicates Need for Next-Generation ERP Solution for Small to Midsize Manufacturing Organizations

The Copley Consulting Group, an Infor Gold level Channel partner, announced the signing of seven new clients this past month, as part of the Infor fiscal year which ended on April 30, 2018. The new clients range from single product start-ups to multi-national entities.

With a focus on licensing Infor CloudSuite™ Industrial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for the manufacturing space, Copley works to help its customers transform their operations, moving away from legacy systems, introductory accounting software, and manual spreadsheets, to a more comprehensive and unified solution, which can help integrate finance, supply chain, manufacturing, R&D, sales operations, and quality. The new clients stretch across multiple industries including general manufacturing, high technology, and FDA regulated companies.

“ERP systems are no longer just meant for well established, high revenue companies,” said Robert Lane, Chief Executive Officer of The Copley Consulting Group. “With a focus on the small to midsize manufacturing sector, we are seeing a number of new clients who are looking to address operational and regulatory requirements which are every bit as complex of those encountered by multi-nationals. In the case of medical device manufacturers, for instance, having a modernized ERP solution can make all the difference in expediting FDA approval for their products and helping to mitigate certain risks associated with commercialization.”

Per an Allied Market Research report (ERP Software Market by Deployment – Global Opportunity Analysis and Industry Forecast, 2013 – 2020, March 2015), small and medium enterprises (SME) are projected to contribute a CAGR of 7.9 percent to the overall spend in the ERP market from 2014 to 2020. According to the report, this is due in part to updated ERP helping to lower operating costs, assisting with inventory reduction, and helping to improve compliance.

One of the new clients has an aggressive project to both deploy the ERP solution and validate its use as the system of record for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) risk areas. The addition of this new customer bolsters the momentum Copley has realized in the medical device industry, building on the company’s recent announcement of a significant increase in FDA regulated customers over the past year.

“The Copley Consulting Group continues to be one of our top performing channel partners worldwide,” said Jeff Abbot, Senior Vice President, Global Alliances and Channels, at Infor. “It’s partnerships like the one we have with Copley that helps drive our business and expand our presence in key vertical industries, such as FDA regulated organizations.”
